I was honoured to be asked by Daniel Garcia ( film maker and sound artist ) if my track Sowers of Discord, written for the Inferno project for Cities and Memory could be used as part of a series of listening sessions, called Open Ears. He is curating listening sessions with friends from Worm Radio and Soundtrackcity. The sessions will take place on May 22 at De Tanker in Noord, Amsterdam and will be focused on the concept of journey, and travel through sound.

The programme of short pieces of radio art, field recording and experimental audio will be in small theatres or venues in Amsterdam. The idea was born out of the difficulty of disseminating work of this type that Daniel has encountered as a creator, and the absence of spaces for collective listening. This is the first year for the project and it will be a pilot to see if there is an audience in the city for this kind of work.
