And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
Percy Bysshe Shelley
(1792–1822)
In January 2015, SOUNDICIAN released the album ‘Wise Trees’, a sonic interpretation of the poem ‘The Winter Trees’ by William Carlos Williams and dedicated it to my Mother, who instilled in me a love of nature.
Just over a year later, Verses, was in some ways a companion piece to ‘Wise Trees’. It is primarily dedicated to my Father, who had a great love of poetry and believed that it should be read and spoken aloud, and that there is music in poetry. His love of the written and spoken word has left a deep impression, hence Verses – Music based on some of his favourite poems or by his favourite poets.
When mixing Verses, several tracks didn’t make the final collection and Ozymandias was released separately as a digital track in November 2016. Copyright SOUNDICIAN (2016). All rights reserved.

This post is dedicated to my Father who instilled in me a deep love of the sound of poetry and to Kit, without whom, none of the music would ever have seen the light of day.
