Sunderland Arts and Culture Trail

Sunderland Arts and Culture Trail @sunderlandartsculturetrail brings together local artists, businesses, and cultural points of interest in a self-guided walking tour of Sunderland.

In March, I had 6 of my Symbiosis drawings on display as part of the Environmental Artist Exhibition at Hills Gallery.

Symbiosis looks at the connections between living organisms at a cellular and tissue level via imagined habitats in art and reimagined sound.

The idea of the interconnectivity of living things, beauty and fragility of cells, and the micro similarities of all living things are the basis to this work, where I have been creating A3 drawings in pen and ink of imagined different habitat types, such as jungles or rock pools but created using plant and animal cell types

Four drawings, two new and two from the original collection of drawings, are now safely in @movinggallerysunderland , part of what looks like will be a very eclectic and interesting trail.
