I thought I’d have a go at the Music Weeklies Challenge on a subject that I love sonically – Rain.
I recorded a distant thunder storm and downpour through my window during lockdown 2020 and created a backing track from the field recording. I then improvised over it with keys and synths.

It turned out somewhat wistful and nostalgic, like staring out at the world through a rainy window, one afternoon.

I then created a short film based on a haiku by Basho.
